GENETIC DRIFT

SOFTWARES USED:

  • Rhino

  • Grasshopper

  • Vray Rendering

  • Illustrator

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

This project involved exploring representation of different adjectives to create objects on Grasshopper and then using Vray Rendering to apply materials and create different lighting conditions. The goal of my project was to create objects that explore what the world would look like if the planet was cautious about their use of resources and could flourish in an exaggerated way. The final image is one of my objects superimposed into a picture I took in Sedona, Arizona, to imagine the object in real life.

  • Cadmapper

  • Vray Rendering

  • Illustrator

  • Photoshop

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

I studied Venice, Italy, specifically its canal traffic patterns by using Google Earth and CadMapper. We then had to choose one important landmark found in our city, so I focused on the Rialto Bridge because of its importance to the Venice Canal system.

LIVING MACHINES

SOFTWARES USED:

  • Rhino

  • Illustrator

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

We started by studying three of our daily routines (lighting a candle, cleaning, and cooking) and then creating a poem and a graphic to represent them. Then, we took two of these routines and created a collage to demonstrate the movement during each ritual. Lastly, we constructed a drawing in one of the spaces our routine would take place in.
